SILTE PEOPLE’S DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION IN NORTH AMERICA(SPADANA) is a nonprofit community based development association and established in North America by the members of Silte natives and friends. SPADANA is a sister organization to Silte Development Association (SDA) which is actively working in Silte Zone in Ethiopia. SPADANA is also a representative for SDA and working cooperatively with SDA and other organization.

Vision: We involve in various projects that will alleviate specific social problems that is hindering development of our Silte society.

Mission: Look for, organize, and collect financial, material and human resources from SPADANA members, Silte people, Silte’s development sympathizers, governmental and non-governmental organizations and distribute it on different development activities in Silte Zone. Enhance active community participation to initiate and work actively on demand-driven development programs in the areas of education, health care, and pure water supply.

Values: Active membership, community and general society participation, responsibility, transparency, hard working, efficiency, equity and fairness.
